Formula
SGPA = Σ(credit × grade point) ÷ total semester credits
Multiply each subject’s grade point by its credits, add those weighted points, and divide by the total credits in the semester.
Academic calculator
Calculate a semester grade point average by adding subjects, credits, and numerical grade points from one term.
Plan your semester result
Add or remove subjects, load example data, and enter the numerical grade points used by your institution.
Add your subjects to see the weighted calculation and final SGPA.
The semester view
SGPA uses the same weighted credit calculation, focused on the subjects in one semester.
SGPA = Σ(credit × grade point) ÷ total semester credits
Multiply each subject’s grade point by its credits, add those weighted points, and divide by the total credits in the semester.
For 4 credits at 8.5, 3 credits at 7.5, and 3 credits at 9, the semester result is (34 + 22.5 + 27) ÷ 10 = 8.35.
Check your institution's guidance
AcadCrate accepts the grade points and credits you provide without assuming one country, board, or grading scale. Use your semester record and institution guidance for the official interpretation of the result.
